Overview of the tour

How would you like to journey to a forested mountain landscape with idyllic cascades, rustic bridges, and some of the best birdwatching in North America? Or visit a historic lookout used during the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812? Or stroll through a lush European formal garden, then marvel at one of the greatest skylines in the world? How would you like to see all of this without leaving the center of Manhattan?

You can, on our Northern Central Park tour!

It was the goal of Central Park’s visionary designers, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, to create a “rugged wilderness in the heart of the city.” In this 1 ½ hour hike you will explore a part of the park not often visited by tourists. Prepare to be amazed!

This tour involves some moderately hilly paths, so wear comfy shoes. Because of the nature of the terrain, it is not recommended for our wheelchair guests.
