On this trip, I received a tour of both the High Line and Greenwich Village from Alex Drywa. During the tour he described each place he pointed out and also gave a history of it and the surrounding neighborhood. He then took us on a magical food tour where my mouth experienced some of the best things that it ever has.

What You’ll Do, See, and Eat
High Line:
Amidst the hustle and bustle of New York City’s Lower West Side, soars one of the world’s most marvelous urban achievements. Once an elevated rail line, it fell into a state of decay upon being decommissioned in 1980. After years of facing imminent demolition, a group of local residents came together and saved it from the wrecking ball. Today, this 1.45 mile long linear park is considered an icon of landscape architecture and design. On this tour, your expert guide will lead you the among lush greenery, public art installations and incredible NYC skyline views, all while sharing fascinating stories of its history and evolution. Let Manhattan Walking Tour show you why this metropolitan oasis is perennially ranked one of the top ten places in the world to visit.
This tour continues with a delectable food tour of nearby Greenwich Village, giving you a one-of-a-kind New York experience!
Greenwich Village:
New York City’s quintessential neighborhood is rich in culinary delights that pay homage to its historic roots and storied traditions. Here, you and your local guide will stroll the shaded, brownstone-lined streets while learning how “The Village” became the epicenter of the bohemian and counterculture movements. See why artists, writers, musicians and fashionistas have continuously flocked to this part of New York and continue to champion for its unique identity. Along the way, you will be treated to a variety of delicious treats that are chosen to compliment your NYC experience. From the best pizza in the city to an old-school butcher shop, this is one lunch you will never forget.
Create your own New York story when you embark on this incredible combo tour!

NY is certainly too big to ‘do’ in one trip. But this tour was a great way to navigate the High Line line and Greenwich Village. We tried so many different foods, we were all stuffed by the time we were through. Jillian is a great guide and knew all the little secrets of the history of the area we toured.
My 14 year old granddaughter listed this as one of her favorite things to do in NYC – and we were here for four days and did a lot – so kudos for being on the top of the list! The right mix of walking (High Line Park is awesome), food, and history.
