The food is plentiful – enough for a full lunch – and you will enjoy the best eats New York City has to offer. You can do this NYC food tour and still have plenty of time to explore numerous New York landmarks in the surrounding neighborhoods.
In addition to this tour, we offer guided tours of 2 nearby areas that pair well with Greenwich Village at a substantial discount. It is seamless and your guide travels with you from one tour to the other. We have two Double Combos they last about 3.5 hours. Choose to add in the High Line, or Historic Downtown either before or after your food tour. Want to do them all? Our Triple Combo tour includes all three – High Line, Greenwich Village and Historic Downtown.
Also convenient to your Greenwich Village tour are SOHO, Hudson Yards, Chelsea, the Meatpacking District and the East Village. There are great things to do on your way to the tour, and even more after. Of course there is a lot of food on our Manhattan food tours of Greenwich Village, so a stroll through another neighborhood is just what you need to work up an appetite and/or walk it all off.
For those of you who want to discover New York City landmarks on your own, here is a list that works well with your Greenwich Village food tour.
- Wander through Chelsea Market in the old Meatpacking Packing District on your way to our NYC food tour.
- Go for a morning stroll on The High Line, then take in an exhibit at the Whitney Museum before eating your way through Greenwich Village on NYC’s best food tour.
- Explore Hudson Yards, a modern architectural wonderland with a 7 story shopping mall.
- After the Greenwich Village tour, you are just a stone’s throw from the world-class shopping and art galleries of historic SOHO.
- Washington Square Park, in the heart of NYU, is a must see. Make sure to snap a pic looking down 5th Ave from under the iconic arch for a great view of the Empire State Building.
- Take a peek inside one of NYC’s most interesting historic buildings, the castle-like Jefferson Market Library, once a courthouse and womens prison.
- Head into the East Village, “the epicenter of cool,” to experience famed New York City street art, vintage shops and music clubs.
Maria L.: Food Coma in 10,000 steps. Billy’s enthusiasm for history and great food combined with his humor made for a fantastic tour! He obviously likes what he does.
Freek H.: Hell’s Kitchen is Heaven! Manhattan Walking Tour is perhaps the best way to get to know Hell’s Kitchen in an afternoon. The tour took us to a number of different eateries in the area, but also told us all the great stories of the local Irish gangs of the past.
Janine D.: Like a friend showing you the sights! Just can't recommend this enough!!! We were shown around by Alex, a great personality, full of knowledge about New York and a genuinely friendly and warm person to be with. Nothing was too much trouble for him and the way he guides you is just brilliant - lots of little stories and great places.
Gail U.: Amazing. My friends and I had an amazing tour through Hell’s Kitchen and Central Park. We’ve all been to NY prior to this visit, but Nancy did a terrific job filling us with new and interesting information. Very much worth it.
Jen C.: Great Tour, even for a local. Did this tour when I visited NY from Sydney with a friend who lived in NY. Our guide Annabel was very knowledgeable about the neighbourhood as well as the food locations we visited. I found this thoroughly enjoyable afternoon and was a bonus that it ended up being only the 3 of us.
Gloria O.: Excellent Food Tour! Our personal tour guide, Nancy was fabulous! We were treated to yummy mini meals at 4 stops in "Hell's Kitchen." The food was excellent, the pace was perfect and it was fun to learn about the history of the area. Highly recommended!
K. Smith: Done all of them! I really love this tour and the guides! Been to every single one! Full of knowledge when it comes to history and food.
Josh K.: Jillian was amazing! Our tour guide, Jillian, was incredible! It was my first trip to New York City and she made it an absolutely wonderful visit! I would HIGHLY recommend her tour as the food, sights and her fun side stories were so fantastic.
Beth H.: The trip, the food, the guide - all perfect! My 14 year old granddaughter listed this as one of her favorite things to do in NYC - and we were here for four days and did a lot - so kudos for being on the top of the list! The right mix of walking (High Line Park is awesome), food, and history. Jennifer is funny, current, and informative. Highly recommend!
