My wife and I have done a lot of guided tours, in a lot of different places round the world. I don’t think we have ever had a better one – and we’ve had some pretty good ones!
Full Day Brooklyn Walk
Explore NYC's most populous Borough
Discover Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, and more
Small group tours
You’ll travel through several different neighborhoods each with their own unique character, including Park Slope, Brooklyn Heights, DUMBO, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint. And, of course, you’ll have opportunities to sample some of the great food and drink of Brooklyn along the way. This tour is mostly walking, but at a reasonable pace. We take a subway ride from Barclay’s Center to Brooklyn Heights, and a ferry ride to Williamsburg. You’ll learn how the subway was laid out, how it was built, and how locals navigate this sprawling system that is the largest in the world. Our ferry ride will give you unique and varied views of both the Brooklyn and Manhattan skylines, and our beautiful East River bridges, perfect for amateur (or professional) photographers.

Brooklyn has become a worldwide brand unto itself, but it is still authentic, fiercely loved and defended by the people who call it home. To this day, Brooklynites will argue that you haven’t really seen New York City until you’ve seen Brooklyn
You’ll see some of the most historic neighborhoods in New York City, from places that played a pivotal role in the American Revolution to recently minted artistic neighborhoods and some places that still hold on to their immigrant roots
The tour will have breaks at some well- loved artisanal, locally-owned and operated cafes and restaurants where you will be able to taste some of the best that Brooklyn has to offer

What You’ll Do and See
This tour explores some of the most famous and vibrant neighborhoods in Brooklyn. The only constant of any neighborhood in New York City is change, and Brooklyn has undergone more change in the last few decades than any place in the city. You’ll see Prospect Park, where the architects of Central Park fixed their “mistakes”. You’ll see Barclay’s Center, the first major professional sports venue in Brooklyn since the Dodgers left Ebbet’s Field. We’ll go to the Promenade, one of the best places in the City to see New York Harbor and the Downtown skyline. You’ll see DUMBO, the neighborhood with the coolest name in NY, and take a ferry ride under the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg Bridges. After a stroll through Williamsburg, we’ll finish in Greenpoint, one of the hidden gems of New York, with easy subway access back to Midtown and Times Square or Grand Central.

We had limited time in New York so booked 3 tours in one day, a package which works very well.
I can’t recommend Manhattan Walking Tours more highly to get to see and know New York as a local.
In between all stops Alex taught us loads about the culture and history of the local area, making the trip really interesting – he knew the city like the back of his hand! I would definitely recommend taking a tour with these guys, you won’t regret it.
